Wild Plum Center adheres to the following statements regarding anti-discrimination:

Wild Plum Center believes that equal opportunity is important for the continuing growth and success of our organization. In accordance with state, federal, and municipal laws, this organization intends to comply with these laws which preclude negative discrimination because of race, disability, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, military status, or any other protected classification. This policy applies to all activities of Wild Plum Center, including, but not limited to, acceptance into programming, employment, selection of volunteers, purchasing, and selecting vendors or consultants. Wild Plum Center considers “negative discrimination” to include (but not necessarily be limited to) denial of service, employment, or volunteer opportunities to any class of individuals in a manner that negatively restricts opportunities to that group of individuals.

 

To further clarify, WPC adheres to the following statements regarding its clients:

In accordance with Federal Law and the US Department of Agriculture policy, Wild Plum Center is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

 

No person with responsibilities in the operation of a Wild Plum Center program will discriminate with respect to any such program, project, or activity because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, handicapping condition, political affiliation, or beliefs.
